Chinese ambassador to Singapore Zhang Xiaokang says cabinet mentor Lee Kuan Yew will attend the Olympic opening ceremony. And then on the second day he will return to Singapore to attend the country's national celebration. Lee, who will soon turn 85, is the founder of Sino-Singaporean ties. He has also helped to promote the dialogue mechanism over the Taiwan straits.
